11 weeks agoHellCat, just keep stretching her legs a bit more as you go. Getting the seat used to the saddle is hard if you don`t do it enough. I wish I could go this year.

11 weeks agoGib, you did not say anything about going to Sturgis. But I am assuming you are going there before you head out to Yellowstone.
11 weeks agoNot going to Sturgis this year. I have been 7 or 8 time and my wife has been 4 or 5 times. We decided to skip it this year and go to Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon and Zion. We will stop in Salt Lake City to visit my wife`s sister. Just going to take the back roads and see the sights.
11 weeks agoNice, VT. Should be a good trip. Y`all should swing through Teton park at the same time. Pretty nice cruise through there as well. Some BIG mountains!
11 weeks agoHey Gib, that one time when I left Sturgis and went up across beartooth pass snow all over up there and then over rt 212 down into Yellowstone. Then I took rt 89 on down from Jackson hole and down through snake river canyon and on down into salt lake. Hit I-15 there I think it was and headed out to where rt 89 split off from I-15 went through a town called Panguich. Anyway I followed rt 89 on all the way down to Arizona, into Prescott to see Trip. I called and talked to you a couple of times on that trip, part of that ride was down through monument valley too, and I hit Grand Teton national park on my way down to Jackson from Yellowstone. Nice ride, but a long one.
11 weeks agoThat`s a great trip, VT. As you say, long, but well worth it!
11 weeks agoYep, a long trip Dave for sure. I did 8,600 miles on that trip. and was only home 2 weeks when streetbob called me and wanted me to ride to Phoenix with him to visit Gib and Jo and then up to see Trip. That was when Streetbob crashed the 2nd day we were at Gibs and had to fly back home after that. Lots of riding that year. That was in 2009, it was when I bought that 2010 Roadglide custom the black one, I bought it at Chesters from Gibs wife. Hell that has been 9 years ago, sure does not seem that long ago.
11 weeks agoIt has been a while. VT. Had to have been a good trip. Speaking of, just got back from Trip`s place. Busy guy. He said he will try to remember to get a hold of y`all soon.
11 weeks agoHey VT I went over beartooth pass 2 years ago in a car and that was a sweet mountain!!

11 weeks agoI`m Hurt, Brian! You got within 3 hours of my house and couldn`t call? Couldn`t write!
What you going to do up there? Lots of awesome rides around there. You`ll never get tired of seeing Mt Rainier. I hear you on the kids growing up. Both my boyz are in the military now.
You`ll have to send us a pic of the Girls!Hahaha
11 weeks agoBrian, I had lots of pictures over on photobucket of that ride over the Beartooth. It was some nice scenery up there for sure, that is some rugged country up there, but beautiful. And cold that day that I rode through up there, was snow all over the place, but the roads were passable. I am glad I brought my leathers with me, I stopped at Walmart there in Laurel Montana and bought some long johns and put them on under my leathers so, I stayed pretty warm going over the mountain. Did you get you a new job up in Washington, or are you retireing and just moving out of California? Whatever the reason, I hope it is a good move and I hope you enjoy your new home.
11 weeks agoFunny thing about Bear Tooth, VT. It can be July or August and still be snow, or snowing on top. It`s been snowed shut on top in June.
