April 11, 2003Actionman, If it helps, I'll buy one of those shirts also when you find a source. This is a supply and demand economy and we just doubled the demand. Should see these shirts rolling out of a factory somewhere any time now...let me know where when you find one. Ride Safe, Fisherman
April 12, 2003Yeesh, nothing like a little pressure.
Seriously, I've been looking into this and haven't yet been able to find one. All T-shirts are done by licensees, with H-D serving mainly to approve or not on designs. The main ones in the US are Holubek and Stratman, but I believe Europe has someone else doing T-shirts.
Regardless, I'm still looking into this and will let you know when I find it.
April 14, 2003Well I made it to Manchester this weekend . & even manged to call into the BIG Dealers - Bauer Milletts ... Top Shop. They even had a whole rack of kit ..
I even hovered around the DYNA CHROME ACCESSORIES BIT for a while - but I didn't succumb.
There were some neat T's with a, I think, a 30's, print of the Harley factory on them and Harley Davidson on the Front .... sooo Close, but it was a 100th aniversarry one, and I dont like the badge.
They even had a plain T with a plastic stitched on writing --- But it just looked Cr*p
April 14, 2003Might be able to help here. We have a printer in town who does T-shirts if we give him the printed design. The font looks like Times New Roman but if you can give me the measurements (height and width of one of the letters - L looks easiest) I can get the proportions right. I'm popping into town later so I'll see what colours he does the T-shirts in.
April 14, 2003Big bits ... Its deffo NOT times New Roman ... But that would do.
I did want it as the Harley 'script' on my bike, which I think is a bit of stylised 'gothic' ...
However as for size ... If the Total length is about 9 inch ( 230mm ) and I guess about an inch or 1 1/2" high letters - to suit..
That would do....
Black T-shirt OR VEST .... silver writing would be good.
size medium shirt
