July 17, 2003I bought a 94 road king about 2 months ago. Got a good deal since it did not run, the chrome was rusted and the bike was a general mess. The guy who owned it died last fall and was ill before that, so the bike sat in the garage for two and a half years. With a lot of work and some help from friends I have the chrome polished, the engine runs great, and the body is beautiful. I only have one problem. The front forks have the brushed aluminum look to them and are all spotted. It isn't corosion, just these shiney spots. I have used aluminum cleaners, never-dull, the coke and aluminum foil trick and nothing works. The worst part is it makes the bike look horrible from the front
Any ideas on how to get these to look as good as the rest of the bike?
