April 22, 2005Last year I purchased a pair of Wiley-X glasses to use when riding my Harley. Wiley-X made prescription lenses for the glasses, and all was well.
A few weeks ago, I laid the glasses on the back of the seat of my RKC. I forgot to put the glasses on my face.
I got on my bike and started pushing it backwards with my legs. Suddenly I felt resistance, so I pushed a little harder. It was then that I realized that I just rolled my Harley over my glasses.
The lenses were popped out of the frames, and the frames were destroyed.
The more I thought about it I was like this...
I sent an email to Wiley-X and I told them the truth and I asked them if they could look at them and see if they could fix the glasses. I was told to send the glasses to them with the lenses.
I sent the pieces to Wiley-X along with a letter and told them if they could not repair the frames, that they should let me know and I would buy another frame for them to mount the lenses.
Exactly 7 days after I sent the glasses to Wiley-X, I found a package at my door with a new pair of frames, with my prescription lenses mounted in them. The lenses had been polished to removed the scratches.
I bought the glasses from Wiley-X with a 1 year warranty that only covered defects, and not damage. Wiley-X chose to replace my frames free of charge eventhough the damage was not covered under the warranty.
So I want to say thank you to Wiley-X for being a "stand up" company that just won a lifetime customer. They didn't have to do what they did, and I greatly appreciate the fine customer service that they extended to me.
So I say to you Harley Zoners...do business with Wiley-X with confidence! They know how to take care of their customers.
So now I will make sure that I wear the glasses on my face and not on my seat. ...
...and now I am like this...
So...thank you Wiley-X!!!!!
