August 29, 2005All good advice. But the plain and simple answer is just "No". No need to hide the bike, fake a dead battery, or any other foolery. Just "No". An explanation shouldn't be needed, period, if the guys got any kind of a clue whatsoever. Obviously, he doesn't though, since he had the nads to even ask. It's all in the delivery, "No", if you do it right, he'll understand instantly, how out of line he was to ask such a question.
Other than the tech, exactly one person has ridden my bike, and that was at MY request.
Doesn't mean you still can't be a nice guy, he's your brother-in-law. But he does need to know where you stand when it comes to your bike. This ain't no moped to take a spin around the campground for crysakes.
