October 20, 2009I always used Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound to get melted shoe sole off.
October 22, 2009I heard someone else tell me they used oven cleaner. Said they sprayed in on cold then started the bike and let the pipes heat up then wiped it off.
January 28, 2010Dang Newbies, So did you ever get the micro fiber off.????
I did the same thing melt the micro fiber to the exhust. I used WD 40 and steel wool came right off.
January 28, 2010I used fine steel wool and acetone to get it off my pipes on my 03 roadking. I did the same thing and wiped hot pipes with the microfiber cloth, those microfiber cloths are nice but they do make a mess on a hot pipe.
January 29, 2010Somebody has been dumpster diving again! LOL
I try to not get schitt on my pipes! LMAO
May 20, 2010WD-40 works great on anything nasty! even the carpet in your car for a tar stain ! spray it on dab it off !
May 20, 2010Cvesper,
Did you notice this thread is as old as the hills and twice as dusty????
It first started in 2007 then resurfaced in 2009. And by the way microfiber towels still make a mess on hot pipes. LMAO
