December 17, 2011I never considered myself an artist or craftsman. Maybe a little of both, JT. They say an artist is his own worst critic, and I`m very critical, ie. not happy with anything less than perfection. I like doing it for fun rather than production work, if you know what I mean.
December 17, 2011If you just do it for fun, I might let you enjoy yourself on one of my bikes. I`ll even buy the paint!
December 17, 2011Gee, Double D, I am honored to have been picked!LOL
I never (rarely) pay for materials out of my pocket when I do a job for someone. The only money exchanged is for services rendered. In the end, they have spent the same money but it seems cheaper when they only pay me for labor.
December 18, 2011You are correct in that EOD,an artist AND an american craftsman!! I might as well get in line for one of those one of a kind paint jobs as Ive had 3 or 4 people ask me what color Im going to paint my bike!!
December 18, 2011I`ll start a sign-up list for a painting road show. Maybe Discovery Channel will do a new series!LMAO
December 19, 2011Nice job Eod
December 19, 2011EOD - Way to Go!!!!! I`m real happy to see you are keeping busy. I hope you are learning to be a lot happier now that being home with the family and playing with bikes are keeping you busy. Some day we will get together again and tip one or two.
December 19, 2011Someday, McG. You never know. I try to find things to amuse myself. Retirement sucks because I miss the job and the people. I don`t miss the military BS too much though!
December 19, 2011Dave,
I really like retirement, I stay busy though, I would probably not like it if I just sat around watching the boob tube all day. I ride, I hunt,I play golf, I also have two very part time jobs to help take up some of my time.. Maybe if you worked for 36 years at one place like I did then you would have not missed work quite as bad. Anyway I am glad you are getting adjusted and finding your niche again.
