2 weeks agoI tell you what, even if I wanted a bargain, I don`t think I would fight the crowds of bargain seekers to get something even for free in the throngs that will be in the stores today....

2 weeks agoThey can keep their sales. I`m not going out and fighting all of those people. I ordered a bunch of AR-15 parts online and got some good deals. I`ll be able to build my .45 cal AR pistol next week.
2 weeks agoGood deal Dave, my son has been talking about building an AR pistol, wanted me to help him. He is not very mechanical, so I would probably be doing all of the work. Would be interesting though.
2 weeks agoThey are pretty easy, VT. You`ll need a few tools to build one.
I have a few 5.56mm pistols and a .3ooBO but have been wanting to build this .45ACP version.
2 weeks agoThe only thing that I have toward gunsmithing tools is a set of gunsmithing screwdrivers, but I have lots of regular tools of all kinds. As far as the instructional part I could probably go on youtube and learn how to build one.
2 weeks agoI`m sure there are youtube videos that would help, VT. There is a barrel wrench that you need to tight the barrel nut, and a plastic jig to hold it in the vice. You need good set of punches to drive the pins and roll pins. There is a spanner nut that holds the buffer tube to the lower receiver that takes a special wrench. Everything else is pretty much hand tools.
2 weeks agoThanks Dave, got punches already and may have a wrench in that case that came with my Stag AR15, don`t remember.
2 weeks agoIf its the combo wrench then you should have what you need for the barrel and buffer tube, VT.
2 weeks agogood morning, a rainy Sunday morning here in Va.. I went out to a dance last night and danced a rainy Saturday evening away. Actually had a pretty good time.
2 weeks agoShoot VT - When there are women around that after your azz - you always seem to have a good time.
2 weeks agoGlad you got out and had some fun, VT.
1 week agoThanks guys. Went to church yesterday morning, it was the church I used to attend when I lived here in my hometown. A small rural church and I still knew quite a few people that were there.
