January 19, 2020Freewilly , if you are thinking about going to Sturgis, you might want to rethink that if you intend to go this year. It is the 80th Anniversary. I was there for the 75th anniversary and for me it was not pretty or enjoyable. Over 1.2 million bikers in there over the two weeks. You could painfully and slowly move around in the campground and downtown. It took me 45 minutes to an hour just to get out of the buffalo chip in the morning. I don`t know if I will go out there again or not, but I just hate all that traffic on a special anniversary year. Harleys weren`t designed to sit in all that traffic like that, not to mention the strain on yourself, legs, hands, holding bike up and clutching in and out every few feet.

January 20, 2020VT, I was there for the 75th. Stayed at the Days End Campground right in Sturgis. Never even tried to go to the Chip heard that side was a mess.
Anyway that trip will be the last for me sleeping on the ground. If we go we will be RVing it and staying somewhere that will allow dogs. I stayed at the Shadetree Campground one year and it was real nice. Out of town a ways but still had Da Bus service.
January 20, 2020I stay out at Ellsworth AFB. I don`t sleep on the ground anymore! LOL

On a (side note), we are all hoping VT avoided getting involved in the Virginia demonstrations planned for this week. Would not be a good idea.
January 20, 2020It sounds like the event went pretty much scuffle free. I figured VT might go though!
January 20, 2020I did not go Dave, I thought about it, but wife can barely get around, having to keep a watchful eye on her mostly all day and night right now. It was all over the news today, it was a peaceful turnout I heard some numbers but not near what they expected. Heard about 25,000 on local news while ago. Only one arrest at rally, a woman who had a facemask on , they asked her to remove it several times and she refused so they arrested her. There were people there from Arizona, florida, and many other states.
January 20, 202022,000 total is the number they said on the news. I figured with Antifa there they would start something.
January 21, 2020It was also reported the protesters cleaned up the trash and debris behind themselves, that is the absolute opposite of what anti-gunners do they trash everything. So Who Is the RESPONSIBLE party here????
They gave Ralph Northern absolutely no grounds to say anything bad about that peaceful 2nd amendment rally....
January 21, 2020Yeah, it seemed pretty polite and well behaved. Most of the news has ignored it though.
