Well, i looked up the dates. The (Spring) Rally which is normally in May, was the one just over with these dates. 7/13---7/19 while the Fall Rally dates for this year are: 9/28---10/04.
2 weeks agoDave - Everything is open - just can`t be more than 50 percent full inside and have the six foot outdoor distancing thing going. We sure do have a whole lot of tourists though. Crowded up on the beach like you wouldn`t believe. I believe this will be a major hot-spot till we get medicine and a vaccine. They will try to have an October bike week and once again the vendors will not be many.
2 weeks agoWe have a bunch of that garbage as well, McG. Even though we`ve only had 38 deaths our governor just mandated masks at any indoor business.
2 weeks agoGood thing we don`t have to drink our beer (or whatever) through the mask though. I have grown to not appreciate anyone getting near me without a mask. I`m 78 now and I don`t want to get it.
2 weeks agoI hope you stay well, McG. My thoughts are simple; if masks work, then yours will protect you and and me not wearing one shouldn`t matter.

I thought the Zone was wiped out again. This is first time in a couple of days I could get back in.
1 week agoI was thinking the same thing, Mo. Same schitt, different day.
1 week agoYes me too, I tried to get on here a couple of days ago and it said the server was down.
As far as the mask thing goes Dave, it is more to protect the other person than yourself, although it works the same way for both people. If I wear it helps to keep the virus out, and if you got it and you are wearing a mask it keeps you from spreading it. I heard the other day that wearing the mask reduces your chances of catching the virus by 90%.
If a person has it and is asymptomatic and hasn`t been tested, then a mask will help because it will make it harder for him to spread the germs that cause the virus.
1 week agoVT, if someone who has it is wearing a mask, I agree. I don`t have it so why wear a mask. If your mask protects you then Mine serves no purpose. I just don`t like being told I HAVE to wear one. I might voluntarily do it at certain places but we are losing our freedoms left and right these days.
Not arguing the point, but venting I guess.
1 week agoYou`re right Dave but we have so many people here in Myrtle Beach on vacation that don`t give a crap oyu need to stay away from them and also wear a mask. I go out to my local big park, get a table near the bathroom, there are about fifty tables under roof there, get out my wine and book, and stay there for about two hours. Gotta do something besides stay in the house or wear a mask.It really is not so bad up here on the north end as the bars and restaurants are mostly open, with proper spacing, so going out a couple of times a week is safe and easy.
I got so much nothing to do that I`m getting a GENERAC whole house generator that automatically starts and runs my whole house of the big wind makes my electricty go away. Everything continues as normal after a couple of seconds. And with my DISH TV I will be missing nothing. Runs on Propane, buried 500 gallon tank. Total install be done by August 20. Peace of mind
