4 weeks agoI agree that some of the hole in the walls are the best places. Not sure if experimenting with food places is always a good idea but is usually pays off!

3 weeks agoYep you are right, it is hard to pull away from a place when you have always had good service and the food is good and you really like it.
I remember when Gib, Trip, and I rode over to skull valley and ate at a little dive down there, it didn`t look like much but it was packed and the hamburgers were good.
3 weeks agoWe rode over there but never stopped for chow. He was just happy to be out riding I think.
3 weeks agoI don`t know if he even has a bike to ride right now. I think the chopper he built is the only one he has left.
3 weeks agoI`m not sure either. He might not have one again. Can`t imagine that would make him happy.
3 weeks agoWell Randy - we need to go to Crab Catchers for good seafood. Mos doesn`t even know what seafood is. Cows - and no oceans in Nebraska.
3 weeks agoHave some for me as well, McG. Cows and no oceans are my country as well.

Nice try McG....Crab Catchers is one of our favorite spots. Got (take out) from there just a couple of weeks ago.
Linda usuallly gets the oyster basket (no bread) and I get the scallops basket (not bread) and we trade a few pieces.
I was really pissed a few yrs back when they lost their ability to serve raw oysters like they had done for 10-15 years or more. They got their oysters from the gulf coast in 5 gallon buckets. They used (old) oyster shells to serve them to the customrers.
Along comes this d***head State Inspector and says..........You can`t use old oyster shells to serve oysters. They have to be in the same shell they came in. WTF........So Crab Catchers started serving a dozen or half dozen oysters all slopped together on one plate.
This was very UN appetizing to look at. As a result, their raw oyster sales went down the drain.
We loved them while they were serving them the old way. Sad to see it go.
3 weeks agoI haven`t eaten raw oysters for a long time, like them fried the bet anyway. I guess when I come down maybe we can all go to the Crab Catchers and I can just see what good seafood is!!!!! Right now Diane is coming with me when I come, but that may change by time the trip time gets here. LOL!
The seafood is ok here, but I think that down there at Myrtle, calabash, etc. tastes better than the seafood up here. Oysters are real good here though they come from the Chesapeake Bay which is just down the road and hour, so I can get fresh oysters here about anytime.
Anyway wherever we decide to go It will be good to see you guys again, been a while now. And it will be really good to get away from all this bull**** and work that I am going through right now.
Be my first time coming to Myrtle beach as a single man, in many moons!!!!

Plenty of the seafood places around here, "brag" about eating shrimp, oysters and other seafood caught (locally). That is no big deal to me.
Likely when Crab Catchers was still doing their oysters on the half shell, some thought they had come from local waters........Not the case.
Back a few years ago, you recall that big hurricane that came into the gulf coast and wiped out some big oil rigs. Lots of raw oil coated the coastlines of the gulf and ruined oyster beds. For a while, Crab Catchers changed over to getting their oysters from the West Coast up in Washington State.
We were there during that time (at Crab Catches) and ordered up our usual dozen on the half shell. One of the owners (Justine), said let me bring you a couple to try as they taste way different and you might not like them.
She was right on...........They were awful and we cancelled that order
We have not tried going to any restaurants at all. If we do, it has been for "to go " orders to take home.
P.S. Last I knew while winding up the divorce deal, you were also telling Diane to "take a hike" and leave you alone. Sounds like she`s back.
3 weeks agoY`all are making me hungry with the seafood talk!
3 weeks agoI thought you rid yourself of that woman problem. I did think she looked just fine and was really nice. Some time later you had me convinced you were well shed of her. Have her bring her own car again so she can leave when she becomes a pain in your azz.
