February 25, 2017My good friend here in Myrtle Beach has been riding to the softball games at Coastal Carolina U. every day. Temp. has been about 75 degF. Supposed to be only 60degF tomorrow. Be too cold for him. Driving me a little crazy about not being able to ride. Still have no desire for a trike. Car works just fine.

February 25, 2017Wife and I would love to be back on 2. We have her first Sporster in the garage, and every now and then she gives it a try. Even with the Sport, she can`t feel her feet and doesn`t know how much weight is on them. She says it is mostly mental, but she is afraid of dropping it. Hell, she didn`t drive a car for 7 years, couldn`t feel the peddles. We had hand controls put on her `04 Thunderbird, but a minor fender bender ended that. Now she drives a Jeep and her Tri-glide. I`d LOVE to get a used Dyna, really miss splitting lanes, gutter running or riding on the sidewalk. I need a bar hopper!
February 26, 201760* is too cold? We (Combat Vets Motorcycle Association [CVMA])did a food/clothing drive for the local homeless Vets home and it was 34* here yesterday. Our commander and I rode, of course. I`d love to have 60* to deal with! LOL
Hang in there McG. I know you`d rather be able to ride. I know it has to suck. Maybe a Trike wouldn`t be so bad. At least you have an excuse to ride one.
February 26, 2017Screwball, the same deal I said for McG. Riding a trike out of need vs. want should be acceptable. I wouldn`t hold it against y`all. I know I`d hate to have to give up a bike but a guy has to do whatever it takes. It would be great to get out and ride a Dyna. Even just for an afternoon. Enjoy what you have. We are supposed to get up to 28* today with a chance of snow. Damnit! Haha
February 26, 2017DAVE - i THOUGHT YOU`D GET A KICK OUT OF THAT.
SB - one of the reasons I gave up two wheels id zero feeling in my right foot and very little in my laft. I hooked the rear brake cylinder to the front brak at the junction between my forks for the front brakes. unhooked one of the front brakes. As it was the only way I knew the rear brake was working was when the rear wheel started to skid. I rode for 10 years like that - and all over the country. My left foot works the brake in my car. I can step on the gas just fine and wear a leg brace to help pull my foot off the gas.
Bless your wife for the good old college try.
February 26, 2017Yep! Thanks, McG! Glad I got to ride last week and as recent as yesterday. 2" of snow now and 15*F out there. CRAP!! LOL
6 months agoI hope they don`t shut us down due to lack of interest. I might have to look at some other forums. Have never done that.
6 months agothis site is much more active then other sites (in the family).. Im not worried about harley zone
6 months agoHey, McG. You aren`t on any other sights? I`m on the V-T w I n Forum. I hate to have Bob kick me off of here for listing another forum, but this place has dried up and blown away. I hate it since it used to be a lot of fun. It sucks. I think we 4 or 5 are the only ones left...
6 months agoArTi, that is pretty sad. This forum used to have conversations that lasted for days. We had some active members that would post hourly. If we could finish a sentence in a week now we would be lucky. I wish it were better.
6 months agoWent and rode 120 or so miles. It might snow tomorrow so I braved the 35*F temps to get in the wind.
What did y`all do today?
