3 weeks agoI just pulled the old dishwasher out and am getting ready to install the new one. Got to do some cleanup where the old one came out. I just stopped to take me a break for a little bit, am getting tired. Have not been sleeping very well with all this stuff I got going on.
So it does not take me too long to get tired, I been laying in there in the floor up under the sink working. They had sweated the hot water line on both ends, and the new line that came with the washer I got had braided lines with screw on compression fitting. So I had to go to Lowes and figure out what I needed to make it work. the water line was pvc and it had a cutoff valve in the middle of it and those were put on with squeeze bands.
I ended up cutting the plastic pipe and took a shark bite compression valve 1/2 and 3/8 and put it on below the old valve, now I have it double valved. Allready got the valve installed all I have to do is hook the braided line from the dishwasher up to the 3/8 fitting and turn it on and the other valve and I should be good to go after I rewire it and hook up the drain hose from the new dishwasher.
Then after I get that done I am going out and pick the grass up in the yard with my trac vac , I unhooked it yesterday before I mowed because the grass had gotten too tall to vacuum while I mowed. Been sunny here most of the day so most of the grass clippings have dried and will not clog up the chute on the vacuum and will be much lighter when dried.
Just trying to stay busy to get my mind off all this stuff...…...
